Director of Open Source Software Initiatives is a newly formed position within Headspring's senior management
Austin, Texas – October 23, 2009 - Eric Hexter, Principal Consultant, has assumed the additional role of Headspring's Director of Open Source Software Initiatives, a new senior management position. Eric is to manage Headspring's open source undertakings and keep an eye out for how Headspring may further support the .NET community.
Eric will leverage years of open source community involvement in his role. He is a director of the c4mvc.net Virtual User Group and a contributor to multiple open source projects including MvcContrib and The Tarantino Project. Eric gives back to the local Austin community by working as a director of the Austin .NET Users Group and organizing the Austin Code Camps. Beyond open source, Eric is the INETA (International .NET Association) Membership Mentor for the South Texas Region, an ASP Insider, and a Certified Scrum Master. He has a background in Agile coaching and software project delivery with broad experience working for well known brands like Callaway Golf and Cadillac and has worked in consulting, corporate IT management, and software product companies.
